Winner of competition organised by Invasion Singapore and *SCAPE in 2016 to submit promotional and merchandise designs for Singapore musicians, iNCH and The Sam Willows
The original design is a hand-drawn illustration of Inch Chua (iNCH)’s silhouette with the Mousedeer headband; her spirit animal is the Mousedeer.
Inspired by this trademark look of hers during promotions for the album where she would wear the iconic headband at shows, the design was translated into digital form and surrounded with green watercolour foliage to reflect the nature aspect. Quirkiness is brought out through the irregular hand-written text within the silhouette and Memphis pattern inspired geometric shapes surrounding the final design used on the mockups.
Mousedeer is a single off iNCH’s 2015 EP - Letters To Ubin.

Ideation came from researching on the promotional materials that the band has already put out: Posters, past album covers, designs for their social media posts and more. Noting the minimalistic concept style and the layout they usually go for, their logo, band name and faces of the members are often present across their promotional materials.
This led to the design idea which incorporated a personal style of having the names of the individuals handwritten and placed within their face silhouettes. The fonts used are simple, not too complicated, bringing out the usual style of the band and a hand-drawn logo for a personal touch.
Placing the elements together, the band's social media handles are included at bottom of the generic poster.
